Proper ICF installation isn’t complicated when the crew knows what they’re doing. Here’s exactly what we do on every project.

Plans Review & Quote
We review your drawings and flag any ICF-specific details before we quote — openings, ledgers, window bucks, thermal bridges. Better to catch them now than after the pour.

Material Selection & Delivery
We select the right ICF system for your project and coordinate delivery to site. Blocks, corners, accessories and bracing equipment — everything needed is on site before we start.

Layout & First Course
Precise layout from the footings, correct placement of first course, clean corners and openings. The first course sets everything that follows — we get it right from the start.

Stacking, Bracing & Steel
Forms stacked and braced to the engineered bracing schedule. Horizontal and vertical steel placed per structural drawings. Window bucks and door openings installed correctly.

Concrete Pour Management
We manage the pour from start to finish — concrete placement sequence, vibration, monitoring for blowouts, and bracing adjustment throughout. Experienced eyes on the wall at every stage.

Bracing Removal & Handoff
After cure, bracing comes off and we walk the finished walls with you. Straight, plumb, clean. We leave the site ready for the next trade. No callbacks, no remediation.

About ICF Installation & Supply
What is the cost of ICF installation compared to traditional methods?+
ICF installation typically costs 5–15% more upfront than standard wood frame construction. However, the long-term energy savings (up to 50% lower heating and cooling costs), reduced maintenance, superior durability and longer lifespan make it a strong value proposition over the life of the building. Most clients recover the premium within the first several years through energy savings alone.
Can I use ICF for only part of my build, like just the basement or foundation?+
Yes. ICF foundation-only projects are very common and make excellent sense — an ICF basement provides dramatically better thermal performance and structural strength than poured concrete at a relatively modest premium. We do foundation-only projects regularly alongside full shell and complete builds.
Do you supply ICF materials to contractors and owner-builders?+
Yes. We supply Nudura, Fox Blocks, Amvic and Element ICF blocks and accessories across Simcoe County and Southern Ontario. We advise on quantities, answer technical questions about the systems, and can recommend the right product for your project. Contact us with your plans and we’ll provide a supply quote.
Which ICF brand do you recommend?+
It depends on your project. Nudura and Fox Blocks are both excellent systems with strong OBC support and good availability. Amvic is well-suited to residential foundations. Element ICF offers good thermal performance for custom configurations. We’ll recommend the right system based on your design requirements, budget and site conditions — not brand preference.
How long does ICF installation take compared to traditional framing?+
For experienced crews, ICF installation time is comparable to traditional framing and in many cases faster for above-grade walls. The wall is structural, insulated and air-sealed in a single step — eliminating several stages that wood frame requires. The pour day adds time, but overall the build sequence is similar or faster.
Do you provide WSIB and liability insurance documentation?+
Yes. We provide a WSIB Clearance Certificate and Certificate of Insurance before mobilization on every project. If your GC agreement or lender requires specific coverage limits or additional documentation, let us know before contract and we’ll confirm everything is in order.
